Welcome Home Sue!

We had the distinct honor to build CPL. Sue Downes home in Towne Lake and today we got to welcome her and her family home along. From a boat parade, to a golf cart parade with helicopters and eagles circling, to the Cy-Fair Fire Department bringing their huge bucket truck with the American flag so honorably displayed, to Lee Greenwood closing out the day with God Bless America as we handed over the keys, it was a day we will never forget. Thank you to Caldwell Companies for donating the lot in Towne Lake, to Helping a Hero for this incredible opportunity, and our vendors who partnered alongside us as we donated our time and materials. Learn more about the home we built from our President, Todd Johnson

“All our homes are built with love and care, but this one was built with honor. We are thrilled to have worked with Helping a Hero in providing our popular Waterlily plan which incorporates universal design (ADA) features and thus a great fit for Sue’s needs. As a veteran, it’s a joy to see an American hero being honored on Veteran’s Day week, and we’re grateful for her service,” - Todd Johnson, president of Caldwell Homes, a West Point alum who served two tours in Iraq.
